Last Chance for YSL Championships Program

Attached are names of athletes who have submitted bios and photos so far.  This is you last chance to get your profile in the program.  Information is on the Northern Division web site.  Action photos for most athletes can be found on Ideal Photography's web site.  Biographies and photos are due by this Wednesday.  No exceptions!

Congratulations Madison Bildahl and Sean Bayless!

Madison Bildahl was selected to represent the Northern Division at the upcoming Western Region Junior Championships at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.  Sean Bayless is the 3rd Alternate for the Division's team that will participate in the Western Region J3 Junior Championships at Big Sky and Bridger Bowl.  Download the complete championship selections here.

Christopher Linkenbach is missing his full length Karbon black pants (green inside) from one of the recent races.  If you found them, please call (406) 581-2619.

 

Change to Wednesday Alpine Training

Training on Wednesday, 2/22/12, will be changed to GS.  In addition, if there is more then 5 inches reported on the Big Sky snow phone, training will be canceled.

YSL Intents for Discovery Races

Parents, We are getting down to the last two YSL races of the year and need to know if your athlete will be competing in Discovery.  Please email Jeremy Ueland at bigskysef@yahoo.com for Buddy Werner athletes and email Becca Freidlander at yslbigsky@gmail.com for YSL athletes by Thursday, February 23rd.

Gallatin Glissade Nordic Race this Saturday

The Gallatin Glissade is this Saturday, 2/25/12.  Registration is from 7:30AM to 9:30AM at the golf course bunker.  Lone Mountain Ranch will provide shuttles to the start at Lone Moose Meadows.  We still need a couple of volunteers to help control road crossings.  If you are interested contact Denise Wade via email or at 406-579-2415.

YSL Races at Discovery

If you would like to sign up your athlete for the races at Discovery on March 3-4, please let me know by Thursday, February 23rd.  There is only one more YSL race this season after Discovery: the YSL Championships in Whitefish on March 23-25.  It would be great to have a strong Big Sky representation at both these races and to see the kids participate in another competition before the end of the season.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Attention Great Divide YSL Racers

We will have team meeting and waxing at the Days Inn in Helena from 5:30 to 6:30.  If you do not plan to make it to the meeting, please come with your skis waxed and ready for race.
