MY.USSA.ORG

As you may have noticed, the USSA recently reorganized its web presence, as explained in the short video below.

• The USSA.ORG site is basically a news portal for all of the sports that fly the USSA banner.  However, rule-related information for officals can be found on the Resources page here.
• The Member Tools that used to be accessible via a drop-down box on the home page at USSA.ORG are now accessible via MY.USSA.ORG, which is password-protected.  This site offers access to member certifications, individual race histories, club rosters, race results, etc.

Most of us, most of the time, will probably use the MY.USSA.ORG web site.

Alpine Team Jacket En Route

Jeremy Ueland has received word that the new Alpine team jackets are on their way to Bozeman from Denver.  Stay tuned for information regarding the time, date, and location of jacket distribution.

Freeride Training Schedule Available Online

The training schedule for the BSSEF Freeride Team for the entire 2011-2012 season is now available online here.

Junior Open Races in December Cancelled

The Junior Open races that had been tentatively scheduled for mid-December have been cancelled due to lack of snow at either Red Lodge or Big Sky.

Auction Items Still Needed for Fundraiser on 12/10/11

BSSEF still needs donated auction items for our big fundraiser on December 10^th.  We ask that each family take responsibility for the donation of at least one item.  Please email Suzanne Schreiner (Big Sky) or Tina Coyle (Bozeman) by the week of December 5^th if you have any item to donate or need to drop off an item prior to the event.  (You are encouraged to deliver auction items to the BSSEF's office in Big Sky.)  Thanks for your support of the Big Sky Ski Team!

2011 Turkey Trot Results

Under partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the 20's, 80 runners turned out for the 2nd Annual BSSEF Freeride Turkey Trot in Big Sky. Dan Benson set the pace with a first place time of 19:56 and Becca "Lucy" Spiess was the fastest female with a 23:25. Alex Hassman and Jamie Spiess rounded out the top 3 men and Julie Toule and Louisa Locker rounded out the women's top three. (Sorry Louisa; we screwed up the awards a bit.) Thank you to all who ran and all of the sponsors and prize donors:
