BSSEF Ski Swap a Success

Thanks to all of you who made this year's ski swap in Big Sky a success!  Here are a few snapshots from coach Jason Garver from Saturday's event:

Correction: Junior Development Fees Go Up 11/1/11

The last day of the early season discount in 10/31/11.  Starting on 11/1/11, the Junior Development program price increases from $1,300 to $1,450.  Enroll today!

Clarification: Auction and Awards Banquet

There has been a little confusion regarding the annual fundraising auction and awards banquet events this season.  To clarify:

• BSSEF's major fundraising event, the silent and live auction, will be held on 12/10/11 at Buck's T-4.
• There will be a separate (non-fundraiser) awards banquet at the end of the season (date to be determined).

In the past, these were joint events.  However, this year, the only auction fundraiser will be at the beginning of the season.

Latest Information on 12/10/11 BSSEF Auction Fundraiser

Here's the latest from Peter Bedell regarding the upcoming BSSEF Auction fundraiser event:

• Buck's T-4, Big Sky
• December 10, 2011
• Silent auction from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
• Live music featuring Cold Hard Cash Show from 8:00pm to 12:00am
• Live auction at the set break
• Limited to 225 tickets; ticket price includes music and appetizers
• Advance price $25/individual or $45/couple; $30/individual and $50/couple at the door
• Complimentary shuttle to/from Town Center, West Fork, and Meadow Center

In addition, Buck's T-4 is offering the following lodging options during the event:

• Option 1: $323 + tax (double occupancy) includes 1 night and a ski pass to Big Sky Resort; stay an additional night and receive free lodging and ski pass
• Option 2: $277 + tax (double occupancy) includes 1 night and a ski pass to Moonlight Basin; stay an additional night and receive free lodging and ski pass

Remembering Glen Gransberg

Longtime BSSEF member Glen Gransberg passed away on 10/13/11.  You can read his obituary here.  Glen's love for ski racing and Big Sky manifested itself in his generous endowment of a fund to help support the team's annual Gransberg Cup.  You can view action from last Spring's inaugural event here.  This year's Cup will be held on 3/10/12.
