Deadline for Northern Division Ski Camp Extended

The registration deadline for the Northern Division summer ski camp near Red Lodge has been extended to 5/15/09. Download and submit the following forms:

2009 Northern Division Awards Winners

Congratulations Bridget French and Melissa Wills.  Bridget received the Northern Division's JIm Barrier Gold Cup and the Bill Kenney Cup as the division's top woman racer in 2009.  Melissa was named an Academic Achiever for maintaining a 3.85 grade point average at Bozeman High School.

Kelleher Third in DH at Mammoth Mountain

Former BSSEF racer Keely Kelleher took third in the FIS Spring Series downhill at Mammoth Mountain.

Northern Division Summer Ski Camp

The Silver Run Ski Team is hosting a Northern Division summer (Alpine) ski camp at Twin Lakes Headwall near Red Lodge, Montana, from June 14 to June 20, 2009.  The coaching staff will include Cole Greer (Silver Run), Roger Bay (Bridger Bowl), and Jeremy Ueland (Big Sky) plus others, depending on the number of participants.  A $200 non-refundable deposit is due May 1, 2009.  Contact Jeremy Ueland or Cole Greer (406-425-1474 or by e-mail) for more information.

Fundraising Dinner a Success!

As most of you know, attendance at last weekend's awards dinner was terrific.  The early report from the business office is that the event was a fundraising success, as well.  Thank you to the volunteers who made the event a success!

Board Meeting on 4/15/09

The next BSSEF board meeting is scheduled for 5:00PM in the First Security Bank's conference room in Big Sky next Wednesday, 4/15/09.

Season Recap for Junior Development Squad

Last weekend's Over the Hill Gang ("OHG") races at Bridger Bowl marked the end to a very successful season of racing for BSSEF's Junior Development team: Bridget French, Graham Foster, Madison Bildahl, Sylvie Henry, Melissa Wills, and Coulter Tate.  The following highlights some of the accomplishments of the team's members.  Note that everyone on the squad saw marked improvement in their slalom performance, in particular.  Nice work!
